UH Ahuja Medical Center - Phase II

This expansion included a new five-floor hospital tower and a two-floor sports medicine complex. GC Gilbane Building Company contracted Marous Brothers Construction’s Carpentry & Interior Finishes Group to perform two scopes of work: cold-form framing/interior finishes and exterior siding. The exterior work involved installing over 7,000 engineered stone panels. Despite the curved wall design, the crew installed straight panels along Z-rail clip systems in segmented sections, achieving both aesthetic and performance requirements. On the interior, the team completed nearly 500,000 square feet of drywall in levels 4 and 5 finishes. Key areas like nurse stations, the main staircase, and waiting rooms featured complex radius soffit designs, highlighting the team’s skill in achieving precise, high-quality finishes.
