The Long Fellow Senior Housing project transformed a historic school building and introduced a new 3-story structure to create an affordable senior living community with 80 units.

The existing building was repurposed to preserve its architectural heritage, with upgrades including the installation of a new elevator to improve accessibility. The school’s original auditorium and cafeteria, including the stage area, were adapted into a versatile community space, alongside a leasing suite to support resident services. To complement the historic building, the new construction was a wood-framed, 3-story building set back to maintain the historic site lines. The new structure connected to the existing building along the north side, merging at the east end of the new building, ensuring cohesive access between both buildings. This connection facilitated a seamless integration of modern living spaces with preserved historical elements, creating a functional and respectful community environment for senior residents.
