RSM Cleveland
Located on the 23rd floor of Ohio’s tallest building, the RSM buildout took the former occupant’s office space within Key Tower, and transformed it into a contemporary, sleek, and sophisticated corporate office environment well suited to the needs of this assurance, tax and consulting services firm and its clientele right in the heart of downtown Cleveland at Public Square.

Stark material contrasts are evident through the use of stone, carpet, metal and wood. The result is an eclectic aesthetic that combines luxury finishes and furnishings with playful industrial undertones. To divide spaces within the open floorplan, custom seating and partition walls were expertly constructed and floating cloud ceilings were installed to achieve optimum acoustics and right-sized conversation space through intentional reduction of scale in select areas. Shive-Hattery Architecture + Engineering is RSM’s contractual Architect for all of their projects and designed and developed drawings for this interior buildout. In Spring 2023, following a select bidding process, Marous Brothers Construction was chosen to be the project’s General Contractor. This $2.8 million project required a collaborative team effort from start to finish between the Carpentry subcontractor, Marous Brothers Construction, and the millwork fabricator to coordinate getting the millwork in sections so they could fit within the elevator, and then re-assembled for a seamless single-piece appearance. With an exposed ceiling aesthetic, flooring had to be precise to allow the buildout of the wall features which continued full height into the ceilings being level for continuous and uninterrupted design intent/execution. Care was taken to get each piece of custom cabinetry into the buildout space which required thoughtful effort through a shared loading dock and freight elevator at Key Tower. Not only does the quality of our craftsmanship matter in our execution of work but so does maintaining a project’s schedule to complete contracted work in the timely manner. Despite the intricate details and meticulous work required on the millwork and trim for this project, Marous Brothers Construction was able to finish on time without any delays to the expected project completion date.
