The 140,000 sq. ft. complex, designed to match the Collegiate Gothic style of the campus, features stone and brick masonry on each facade, creating a cohesive aesthetic with neighboring buildings. The building’s two wings are joined by a glassed-in central core, offering distance learning lounges, group study areas, and common laundry facilities, as well as leasing and management offices at the main entrance. These offices provide 24-hour security and surveillance over shared amenities such as the fitness center, game room, and media lounge. The residence hall offers 120 apartment-style suites in one-, two-, and four-bedroom layouts, totaling 300 beds and providing students with living areas and full kitchens. Sustainable design and construction practices enabled the project to achieve LEED Silver Certification upon completion, underscoring the University’s commitment to environmental responsibility. The four-story, Type V wood-frame structure was completed within an 18-month timeframe, providing Toledo’s Honors students with a comfortable, modern, and secure residential community that supports both academic and social needs.
